Pop Star Simpson Collects Items for eBay Auction Packages; Bidding to Raise Tens of Thousands Before Closing Feb. 14

NEW YORK, Feb. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Ashlee Simpson and TEEN PEOPLE have teamed for an initiative to benefit UNICEF's relief and recovery efforts for the young victims of the tsunami disaster.

Simpson reached out to her friends to collect unique items to be auctioned on eBay now until Monday, Feb. 14. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the U.S. Fund for UNICEF. Information on the auction is available at http://www.teenpeople.com/unicef.

"The tsunami and its aftermath have affected everyone, and I couldn't imagine sitting silent and not doing anything to help. I approached TEEN PEOPLE to partner with me to raise money to help everyone affected by this disaster.
