FCB Names Pam Larrick Chairman and CEO FCBi Worldwide
NEW YORK, Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Foote Cone & Belding Chairman Brendan Ryan has appointed Pamela Maphis Larrick as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of FCBi Worldwide, the direct, digital and customer relations marketing arm of FCB.
Larrick, 54, most recently Chairman of MRM Partners (McCann's customer relations marketing arm), joins FCB effective immediately, reporting directly to Ryan in a newly created position.
In announcing the appointment, Ryan said, "In her ten years at MRM, Pam spearheaded the transformation of MRM Partners into a worldwide leader in CRM strategy and award-winning creative campaigns. Under Pam's leadership, MRM Partners won more DMA ECHO Awards than any other agency in the last five years, was named Agency of the Year in 2004 by Business-to-Business Magazine, and was one of two agencies awarded the Microsoft CRM global account in 2004."
At MRM Partners, Larrick provided the leadership, strategic vision and passion for creative quality that drove the company to a leadership position worldwide in Relationship Marketing. She joined MRM Partners (then McCann Direct) as Managing Director of its flagship NY office in November 1994, after which worldwide billings increased more than ten-fold to over $1 billion. In 2001 Larrick was named President and CEO. Earlier she had been Chief Operating Officer Worldwide after a stint as Regional Director for North America.
Her operational experience spans strategic consulting and relationship marketing, database management, on-line services, e-business strategy, customer care teleservices, offline and online media planning and execution, and custom publishing/branded content. She has worked with such clients as: Microsoft, Nestle, General Motors, United Parcel Service, Johnson & Johnson and AT&T.
From 1978 to 1994, Larrick was at Ogilvy and Mather Direct, ultimately becoming General Manager of O&M Direct in New York in 1992. In 1991, in addition to her business activities at Ogilvy, Larrick served as a special consultant to West Virginia Governor Gaston Caperton in the area of communications.
In recognition of her many accomplishments, Larrick was named one of Ad Age Global's "Global Power 100" in 2002, a list of the most "innovative, daring and dynamic leaders in marketing, advertising and media." She received the Emerson Lifetime Achievement Award for Innovation in and Service to the direct marketing industry by the board of the John Caples Awards organization.
