Companies Align To Form SK-EarthLink

New York, January 26, 2005

WHAT: EarthLink (NASDAQ:ELNK), the nation's next generation Internet
service provider and SK Telecom (NYSE:SKM), Korea's leading mobile

communications company today announced a definitive agreement to
form a $440 million joint venture to enter the rapidly growing U.S.

market for wireless voice and data services. Under the new entity,

to be called SK-EarthLink, the companies will create a non-
facilities-based nationwide mobile virtual network operator (MVNO)
offering an extensive array of mobile communications services and
handsets to U.S. consumers.
