Last weekend, more than 220,000 chanters came together in Tenali, India to chant for world peace. The participants repeatedly chanted verses of the Hanuman Chalisa, a Hindu chant to Lord Hanuman, the god who manifests energy, happiness and protection. "Hanuman Chalisa is a very ancient prayer dating back over 400 years. This particular prayer is especially chosen for chanting since the collective sound vibrations create positive impact thereby promoting universal brotherhood, and aiding in the well-being of the entire universe," said Sri Swamiji.

The "Guinness World Records" has recognized the event as a world record for the most people chanting.
