JBL Films Wins Prestigious PRism Award

JBL Films Wins Prestigious PRism Award

L.A. based production firm takes home fifth PRism for outstanding achievement

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- A short video produced by JBL Films was recognized with a prestigious PRism award from the Public Relations Society of America - Los Angeles Chapter this month, the latest in a series of honors for the L.A. based production firm.

JBL Films has now won five PRisms, which honor outstanding achievement among the region's top communications, public relations and production firms. This year's award-winner, "JVS: Building for the Future," was produced for JVS Los Angeles, a non-profit serving nearly 30,000 people annually.

"Every year, we count on JBL Films to deliver a superb product that helps enormously in getting our message out to the communities we need to reach," said JVS CEO Vivian Seigel.

JBL Films' CEO JB Letchinger focuses on small- and medium-sized organizations. Katherine Moore, JVS' Communications VP says, "The videos we produce for our fundraising events not only raise our visibility, they are our most important tool to impact our donors emotionally and motivate them to give generously. Plus, they continue to have an impact on our website and via social media."

Specializing in internet delivery, DVD production and video for events, JBL Films has produced films for non-profits since 1994. JBL Films also works with corporate, commercial, special event and television clients.

"I know I can rely on JB's production experience to bring in a professional crew and help with the creative direction of our projects," Moore says. "He enables me to produce our films within our budget and on time, every single time. We work collaboratively all the way through editing, and our partnership always yields new ideas and innovative approaches."

Before a project begins, JB consults with clients on visual storytelling, recommending a distinctive approach. In production, JBL Films uses current high-definition digital equipment. Editing is completed in-house, often by JB. Recent clients have included Los Angeles-based organizations involved in education, financial services, career services, disability assessment, veteran's services, environment, wildlife rescue and animal health.

Experienced at documentary storytelling, cinematography and lighting, JB recently lensed key interviews for a PBS documentary. Other projects included providing crew, equipment and Director of Photography services for the U.S. Conference of Mayors in Los Angeles, covering a 50 mayor four-sided discussion with lighting and multiple cameras. "All our videos promote the goals of the sponsoring organizations, while aiming to inspire, enlighten and evoke emotion," says Letchinger. "Video is a powerful tool for giving a human face to the mission of local organizations. Seeing and hearing people tell their stories in their own words can inspire many of us to donate more, to care more, and to act more."
