Uberbeatz Studios tells Northwest musicians to "Get a room."

SEATTLE, Oct. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Hydrogen Advertising and its new client, Uberbeatz Studios, are launching a new campaign to encourage Northwest bands and musicians to rent monthly or hourly rehearsal rooms at their new Mukilteo rehearsal facility.

The campaign is based around a very simple idea: to encourage singers, bands, even music teachers to "get a room."

"When we toured the studio, we knew they had something special," said Rick Peterson, president of Hydrogen Advertising. "Unlike some converted rehearsal spaces, Uberbeatz rooms were designed and built by a working musician, for musicians. The result? Practice rooms like no other including private monthly keycard access, hourly rooms by appointment, free Wi-Fi, even a professional recording studio and band lounge."

The campaign launches on October 6(th) at Seattle Weekly's REVERB Local Music Festival, featuring more than 50 Northwest bands. There, band members will receive a gift: Uberbeatz t-shirts and a special "First jam free" offer.

"Musicians struggle to find a practice space that is livable to spend long hours in, and palatable to the neighbors," said Mary Knight, executive creative director at Hydrogen. "The 'get a room' idea really drives home how they can achieve both. It's a serious rehearsal room for musicians and bands who are serious about their music."

The campaign will continue with radio sponsorships on local music programs, print and online ads, and posters. The posters have the uncanny appearance of authentic band posters at first glance with a sticker that draws onlookers' attention to see that the whole poster is "your dream band." They will appear in music stores and as viral postings, featuring performance announcements for bands like "The You," or "Your Megafamous Band." A sticker, printed separately and attached to the posters, will remind musicians: "Before you can be famous, you have to be flawless."

"The only thing I'd say to Northwest musicians is, get a room while you still can," added Peterson.
