Smashbox Studios Further Integrates Equipment and Digital Services with New Photo Services Manager, Joseph De Sanze

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Smashbox Studios - Hollywood's premier provider of stages and equipment - recently hired Joseph De Sanze as Photo Services Manager. He joins the Smashbox Photo Rentals team as it moves to coordinate more closely with Smashbox Digital - Smashbox's own digital capture and retouching services department.

Smashbox Studios CEO Mikel Elliott explains, "Smashbox Digital and Photo Rentals divisions have established themselves as leaders in the convergent space between still and motion pictures. The addition of De Sanze to the team further strengthens Smashbox's leadership position at the leading edge of film and photography production in LA.

A 2000 graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design with a degree in Photography, De Sanze is a prominent LA surf photographer with years of experience as a photography equipment manager in Los Angeles.

De Sanze will be the photo services counterpart to Smashbox Studios Digital Services Manager Vik Vats, who joined the team from NYC last June. Vats and De Sanze unite under Smashbox Studios veteran Dave Radin, Sr. Director of Photo Rentals and Digital Services, as the two departments integrate their offerings. "Adding Joseph and Vik to the team under Dave Radin's leadership further strengthens our position by providing excellent service to image makers," explains Abel Gallardo, Smashbox VP of Sales.

Smashbox clients who rent equipment often also request post-production processing, and Smashbox Studios aims to further develop this synergy between the two departments. As motion and still workflows converge, experts like Vats and De Sanze will collaborate together to produce excellent results.
