NAPA, Calif., Sept. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Beaulieu Vineyard, the benchmark Napa Valley winery, with 112 years of history in fine winemaking, will once again provide the featured wine for the 64(th) Primetime Emmy® Awards Governors Ball to be held September 23, 2012 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, immediately following the Primetime Emmy telecast at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE in downtown Los Angeles.

This is the ninth consecutive year BV wines have been featured at the Emmy celebrations and the seventh year Beaulieu Vineyard has been the proud Official Wine Sponsor of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. BV wines were also featured at the Creative Arts Emmy celebrations on September 15, 2012. Each couple attending the balls will receive a parting gift of BV wine to enjoy at home.

This year's decor theme - A Romantic Rhapsody in Red - will feature 2008 BV Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and 2010 Beaulieu Vineyard Carneros Chardonnay at the gala dinners which will be paired with the impressive menu designed by Patina Catering Chef and Founder Joachim Splichal. BV Georges de Latour was the first private reserve Cabernet produced in America and has been a benchmark in California winemaking since the first vintage in 1936. Named for the winery founder, it is the most eagerly anticipated wine produced by Beaulieu Vineyard. The 2008 vintage marks the 72(nd) year that this premier American reserve wine has been produced.
