'Road to the Ram® Jam' Announces Easton Corbin as the Third Artist in the All-Star Country Music Series

'Road to the Ram Jam' Provides the Ultimate Fan Experience Leading Up to the Invitation-only Ram Jam Concert in Nashville, Dec. 29

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., May 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Mercury Nashville recording artist Easton Corbin will join previously announced artists Kellie Pickler and Brantley Gilbert for the "Road to the Ram® Jam" series and sweepstakes.

The Road to the Ram Jam, presented by the Ram Truck brand, will feature five of today's best country music artists and provides fans the opportunity to win prizes, including trips for two to an invitation-only 2012 Ram Jam concert event Dec. 29 in Nashville, Tenn., where all five artists will perform.

The Road to the Ram Jam series and sweepstakes helps bring country music fans closer to some of their favorite artists with exclusive video content, the opportunity to win prizes including collectible posters and vinyl records through participating country radio stations nationwide, and free music downloads. Fans can enter the sweepstakes for a chance to win trips for two to the invitation-only 2012 Ram Jam concert event at www.RamTrucks.com/RoadtoRamJam or on the Ram Trucks Facebook page at www.ramjamsweeps.com.

Corbin will offer fans a chance to win a free download of his new single "Lovin' You Is Fun," from his forthcoming sophomore album "All Over the Road," when they enter the Road to the Ram Jam concert sweepstakes. The remaining Road to the Ram Jam artists will be announced later and all five participating will receive a lease on a 2012 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn truck. The trucks will then be auctioned off in early 2013 with all proceeds going to benefit a charity of each artist's choice.

Proceeds from Corbin's Ram truck will be donated to the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund. The scholarship fund honors the bravery and dedication exhibited by Americans in our Armed Forces who have sacrificed life or limb by awarding college scholarships to their children. Scholarships are awarded to students whose parent has been killed or permanently disabled in an operational mission or training accident. For the 2011 academic year, the fund awarded more than $1 million in scholarships to 240 sons and daughters of American heroes. To date, the fund has awarded more than $5 million in scholarships. For more information on the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund, go to www.freedomalliance.org.

"I feel so fortunate to be a part of the Road to the Ram Jam series involving three things I am passionate about: trucks, honoring our military and country music," Corbin said. "Growing up on a farm, I learned to love trucks. Driving my new, loaded Laramie Longhorn is great and to be able to auction it off and donate the proceeds to the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund is an added bonus. I am looking forward to this program and being a part of the Ram Jam Concert in Nashville in December."

"Easton Corbin is a great addition to the select family of Road to the Ram Jam artists," said Fred Diaz, President and CEO - Ram Truck Brand and Chrysler de Mexico, Chrysler Group LLC. "Easton's road to success clearly shows that he shares the same determination, hard-work values and dedication as the Ram Truck brand. We're proud to see him driving a new Laramie Longhorn."

Corbin is known for his traditional country sound, authentic lyrics and mastery of understatement. He was the first country male artist in 17 years to have his first two consecutive singles reach No. 1 - "A Little More Country Than That" and "Roll With It." The Gilchrist County, Fla., native won all of the breakthrough artist awards in December 2010 at the American Country Awards - Artist of the Year: Breakthrough Artist; Single of the Year: Breakthrough Artist; and Music Video: Breakthrough Artist for "A Little More Country Than That." Billboard named Corbin as the Top New Country Artist of 2010. His current single is "Lovin' You Is Fun" from his forthcoming sophomore album "All Over the Road."
