ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill., March 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- From coast to coast, basketball fans proved to be among the most passionate last month as their ticket purchases on TicketsNow, Ticketmaster's resale marketplace, made the LA Lakers and New York Knicks the most popular events in both the sports category and for events overall on the site. According to the TicketsNow Entertainment Index, concert sales also hit a high note in February. Madonna and Van Halen grabbed the top two sales spots in the category, accounting for more than 22% of all concert ticket sales for the month. While in theater, The Book of Mormon continued its run as the top-selling event in that group.
