Groovin' On Granola, which produces a variety of gluten-free, all-natural granola snack products will contribute $.02 to the Music Empowers Foundation for every package purchased beginning November 1, 2011. All packages of Groovin' On Granola will feature the Music Empowers logo and website address.
Tom Hennings, the "CGO" or Chief Groovin' Officer of Groovin' On Granola is clearly a music buff, as evidenced by the names of his products which include: "Tangled Up In Blueberry", a play on the old Bob Dylan song, and "No Almon' No Cry", which borrows from the Bob Marley tune. He also is a believer in cause marketing. "I want our consumers not only to enjoy eating our products, but also to feel good about buying them," said Mr. Hennings. "As a lifetime fan of music I want to use what resources I have to help provide greater access to aspiring future musicians. We're excited to partner with an organization like Music Empowers that supports kids, music, and education."
According to Music Empowers Foundation, they first learned of Groovin' last spring and both organizations quickly realized the benefits of a co-venture.
"Obviously we are thrilled about the arrangement - and not only because it will help us to raise funds." explained Andy Davis, founder of Music Empowers "But by partnering with a socially conscious company like Groovin', we also help to raise awareness of Music Empowers and our efforts to bring music education to more kids."
For those who would like to support the Music Empowers Foundation by purchasing Groovin' On Granola products, they are available nationally online at www.groovinongranola.com and in select retail outlets throughout Texas.
