30-Year Indy Radio Favorite JD Cannon Joins Country 97.1 HANK FM

INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- One of the most respected voices in Indianapolis radio and in country music nationally, JD Cannon is joining country music leader 97.1 HANK FM as midday host.

JD was music director at Indianapolis country station WFMS for more than 30 years, spending the last 16 years doing the afternoon drive show from 3p-7p.

In recent ratings news, Arbitron has ranked 97.1 HANK FM the #1 country station in Indianapolis in persons 18-49 and a top 5 finisher in persons 25-54.

JD has been honored by both the Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music as Personality of the Year. He is also a member of the Country Music DJ Hall of Fame in Nashville, TN.

He joins the HANK family on-air Wednesday, Oct. 19, in the 9 am to 4 pm slot weekdays.
