Michigan's Renowned Freedom Festival Exhibits DENTCO Employee's Fallen Heroes Tribute Video

DEWITT, Mich., Aug. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Mike Harri, Information Technology Manager of Michigan-based, Exterior Services Management® company DENTCO, was asked by Fallen Heroes Memorial Foundation to develop a video presentation to honor soldiers that fought and died in recent wars. The video was scheduled to air on Memorial Day at Evelyn Bay coffee company, based in Eaton Rapids, Michigan.

Kevin Dent, CEO of DENTCO, was pleased to hear of his long-time employee's humbling experience and the events that would transpire after the release of the video. "When I discovered that Mike was asked to donate his time to develop this video for our beloved passed soldiers, I was filled with a sense of pride and extreme happiness," said Dent.

Harri began the project in early spring, bustling through names and photos of soldiers and selecting a soundtrack to set the tone. After the video was aired in the local coffee shop's storefront window, Pat Rich, a representative from the Foundation, contacted Harri to inform him that it would be played again during northern Michigan's nationally acclaimed Freedom Festival.

The video would be pre-screened by select generals and one of the prominent performing artists, country singer Lee Greenwood. Incidentally, the two songs in the soundtrack featured two of the artists that would be performing at Freedom Festival--God Bless the USA, by Lee Greenwood and Some Gave All, by Billy Ray Cyrus.

That weekend, $300,000 was raised through the fundraising efforts of the Foundation. Rich stated that the video evoked feelings of loyalty to all who have served in war and consequently, was greatly responsible for the successful fundraising efforts. "What started out as my small way to thank the soldiers for their sacrifices has become an experience that I will never forget," concluded Harri.
