Kick Off "Red Star S.O.S. Tour" to Support Heroic Rescue and Recovery Efforts

WHAT: An 82-foot animal emergency rescue truck, three of country music's most passionate animal lovers and kin to three of America's greatest folk heroes, and the national charity that has been working to help the animal victims of the Joplin tornado and Memphis floods will be in the greater capital area to kick off American Humane Association's "Red Star S.O.S. Tour," an 11-city tour to support heroic rescue and recovery efforts during this unprecedented "Season of Storms" ("S.O.S.").

A concert by the highly talented and pedigreed stars of the hit country group "Stealing Angels" and radiothon on WMZQ 98.7 with hosts Boxer and Jenni Chase will promote life-saving information to protect children, animals, and communities from natural disasters, broadcast dramatic stories from the recent work done in Joplin and Memphis by American Humane Association's famed Red Star Animal Emergency Service(TM) team, and raise funds to support rescue and recovery efforts throughout the United States.

The "Red Star S.O.S. Tour" will travel to 11 cities in Hurricane Alley over the summer, including Fairfax, VA, Greensboro, NC, Miami, Tampa, and Pensacola, FL, Augusta, GA, Mobile, AL, New Orleans and Baton Rouge, LA, Houston, TX, and finally, Memphis, TN.
