WXYZ-TV Names Hally Vogel Weekend Meteorologist

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., June 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- WXYZ-TV announces the addition of Hally Vogel to the Doppler 7 Weather Team. Vogel joins Channel 7 as the weekend meteorologist at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Vogel comes to Channel 7 with more than a decade of weather experience, most recently at WZZM in Grand Rapids, where she delivered the weekday morning forecast. Vogel made her television debut in Traverse City in 2000 as a morning meteorologist and co-anchor for WPBN-WTOM. She also worked as a news assistant and assignment editor for WKYC-TV 3 in Cleveland.

An Ohio native, Vogel received a Bachelor's Degree in Radio and TV Production from Kent State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Geosciences from Mississippi State University. Vogel is a certified broadcast meteorologist and has received the AMS Television Seal of Approval.

Vogel joins chief meteorologist Dave Rexroth, and meteorologists Keenan Smith and Chris Edwards, on the most experienced weather team in the Detroit market.

Vogel begins with WXYZ on June 11.
