MIAMI, May 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Tr3s: MTV, Musica y Mas, the bilingual/bicultural network for U.S. Latinos, will continue to elevate the relevant issue of teen pregnancy and the importance of prevention in partnership with the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy. On Wednesday May 4th. Tr3s will run "StayJoven" PSAs pro bono from the influential nonprofit organization throughout the day, and "Quiero Mis Quinces" alum, Jiselle will share her story and never-before-seen footage of her 'safe sex' mission on www.tr3s.com.

Jiselle is a 17 year old Latina teen mom who planned her belated quinceanera after having her daughter Elena at 14. Since the birth of her daughter, Jiselle has become a pillar in her community by speaking to young women on the realities of parenthood and the importance of safe sex and prevention.

The "StayJoven" PSAs were created by and for Latino youth, in collaboration with the National Campaign and LA-based production company Generate. Tr3s helped launch these PSAs nationally last summer.

"We cannot imagine a better partner than Tr3s in our efforts to reach Latino youth with information about teen pregnancy and how to prevent it," said Marisa Nightingale, Senior Media Advisor at the National Campaign. "Overall, 3 in 10 girls in the U.S. get pregnant at least once by age 20. Among Latinas, 52% get pregnant as teens. The purpose of our National Day to Prevent Teen Pregnancy is to help young people stop and think about how teen pregnancy could affect their lives, and to make a commitment to prevention.
