Crunch Fitness Announces 'Shoot Me. Please.' Commercial Contest

Crunch Fitness Announces 'Shoot Me. Please.' Commercial Contest

Create a starring role for Crunch's lovable Bunny and win $10,000

NEW YORK, Sept. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Crunch gym announces they are now accepting submissions for their "Shoot Me. Please." commercial contest at www.thecrunchbunny.com. The gym known for fusing fitness and entertainment is doing just that, by asking for 30 second commercials featuring the Crunch Bunny, their lovable mascot seen in advertising campaigns in the late-90's. One lucky winner will receive a grand prize of $10,000, and the first and second runner-ups will receive $2,500 and $1,000 respectively.

After taking a long break to pursue other interests, the Bunny is on a mission to hop his way back to the top by re-teaming with Crunch. To do that, he needs to show them that he still has what it takes to be the greatest mascot of this generation. But the Bunny needs the help of film makers and fitness junkies alike to create a starring role for him in the next Crunch commercial.

"For Crunch, the Bunny and his lovable personality represent our mantra of No Judgments and the place where fitness meets fun," said Christina DeGuardi, vice president, marketing, Crunch. "This contest gives people the chance to modernize and reinvent the Bunny by creating a commercial that captures the Bunny's persona and our brand's philosophy."

Crunch has once again teamed up with IdeaWork Studios Inc, www.ideawork.com, to create a micro-site for the contest. The site provides film makers a toolkit, including a creative brief, Crunch end cards, the 2010 Crunch Style Guide, green screen bunny footage, and downloadable music tracks. The site also includes past bunny commercials, a featured video of the week, and a free guest pass to the gym.

Video submissions will be accepted at www.thecrunchbunny.com now through October 31, 2010. At this time, the Bunny will determine up to 50 of his favorites, then the public will vote to select the top 5, and then Crunch will choose the winner of the $10,000 grand prize, along with the bunny's fate. A wrap party will be held in New York City in November to celebrate the finalists' videos and crown the winner.
