Art Van Helps Send Aid to Haiti for Mitch Albom's Rebuilding of 'Caring and Sharing Mission and Orphanage'

WATERFORD, Mich., April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Art Van Furniture teams up with news talk 760 WJR personality Mitch Albom for a Haiti rebuilding project. The best selling author and sports columnist, along with a team of volunteers, are repairing the 'Caring and Sharing Mission and Orphanage' in Port Au Prince which was devastated by the earthquake. Art Van Furniture arranged for transportation for the plumbers along with the cargo required for this humanitarian effort that left Monday morning for a five day building blitz.

The flight took off from the North Oakland International Airport on Monday morning, landing in Haiti that afternoon. On board were Mitch Albom, Steve Adams (carpenter and Pastor), Chris Steinle (construction worker and Pastor), Lou DeLuca (plumber), Anthony DeLuca (plumber, electrician), Mark Medelsohn (photographer) and Johnny Keith (High school student at Warren DeLasalle).
