3ality Digital Executives to Receive New Visions Award from Caucus for Producers, Writers & Directors

Accolade Recognizes Company's Groundbreaking Broadcast Initiatives

BURBANK, Calif., Dec. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Two 3ality Digital executives that have overseen the company's pioneering work in the field of developing technologies that enable the next generation of high quality 3D broadcasting and live 3D sports production will be honored with the Caucus for Producers, Writers & Directors' New Visions Award on Sunday, Dec. 6.

Sandy Climan, CEO of 3ality Digital, LLC, and Steve Schklair, CEO of 3ality Digital's technology arm 3ality Digital Systems, will receive the award created to recognize growth in technology that benefits the television industry. The honor comes at the end of a 12-month period that among other highlights saw 3ality Digital partner with the NFL Network, Technicolor and Real D in telecasting the first-ever live 3D broadcast of an NFL game and partner with Fox Sports, Sony, Real D and Cinedigm in presenting the first-ever live 3D broadcast to a consumer audience.

"3ality Digital's mission is to build technologies that enable broadcasters and producers to move seamlessly from 2D to 3D, bringing to their audiences flawless 3D entertainment that enhances the emotion and reality of the programming. This award is a testament to the incredible work the entire team at 3ality Digital does on a daily basis," Climan said. "I'm proud to be associated with people who consider it a privilege to constantly push the boundaries of what is technologically possible and to create ever-more compelling and immersive entertainment experiences."

"We're honored to accept this award on behalf of everyone at the company," added Schklair. "Consumers have already demonstrated their enthusiasm for 3D at the cinema, and 2010 promises to be a watershed year for bringing broadcast 3D to the home. It's an amazingly exciting time to work in our medium, and I'm proud that collectively we have been responsible for many of the advances that are helping to establish 3D as the new entertainment standard. We're looking forward to working with television professionals everywhere to enable this wonderful transformation."

Climan and Schklair will receive the New Visions Award at the 27th Annual Caucus Honors Dinner, where the brightest and most creative in the television industry come together to celebrate the extraordinary work of fellow professionals. During a reception prior to the Honors Dinner, 3ality Digital will present a live demonstration of their 3D production systems, as well as a reel of their groundbreaking work.

The Caucus for Producers, Writers & Directors was formed in 1974 as a forum for leaders in the television industry to network together to elevate the quality and diversity of all television. The Caucus also aims "to restore to all members of the creative community those rights assumed over a period of years by broadcasters, so as to regain creative freedom and to exercise creative judgment on material and personnel."

The Annual Caucus Honors Dinner is held each year at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
