Mercedes-Benz Dealers of Northeast Ohio Welcome the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Back to Cleveland

Mercedes-Benz Dealers of Northeast Ohio Welcome the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Back to Cleveland

Special preview of the new 2010 E-Class Coupe and Sedan during Induction weekend

CLEVELAND, April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Celebrating the return of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony to Cleveland for the first time since 1997, the Northeast Ohio Mercedes-Benz Dealers will debut the all-new 2010 E-Class at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum, kicking off the 2009 Induction weekend with an exclusive VIP pre-party on Friday, April 3rd. The Induction weekend will be the first public showing of the new E-Class in the Ohio market, with both the new 2010 E-Class Coupe and Sedan scheduled for display at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum throughout the weekend festivities. The 2010 E-Class will be available at Mercedes-Benz dealerships summer 2009.

The special E-Class preview is one part of a successful partnership between the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Northeast Ohio Mercedes-Benz Dealers, who are proud sponsors of the 2009 Induction Ceremony. The Northeast Ohio Mercedes-Benz Dealers are exclusively presenting the private VIP pre-party on April 3rd at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum, in recognition of top Induction donors and sponsors. The evening will feature special musical performances by The Raspberries and Reggie Calloway of Midnight Star. Guests attending the event will have the chance to enter-to-win a limited-edition custom designed Mercedes-Benz Gibson guitar.

The new E-Class is a fitting match for this year's class of inductees, which represent a range spanning from classic artists who began their careers in the 50's and 60's to those that have defined the modern sound of rock and roll. Artists are eligible for inclusion in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twenty-five years after their first recording is released. This commitment to craft, demonstrated by the rigorous time requirements for inductees, is shared by Mercedes-Benz and is embodied in the new E-Class. Since the 'E's' introduction in 1947 with the 170 V model, Mercedes-Benz has produced more than ten million sedans belonging to this series. The ninth-generation E-Class Coupe and Sedan builds on the success of these previous models with innovations such as Attention Assist drowsiness detection and a distinctive new design that features a stylish interplay between taut lines and large concave and convex surfaces. While the car has modern styling cues, aficionados might recognize design cues reminiscent of the famous "Ponton Mercedes" of the 50's. The E-Class line will go on sale in the U.S. initially with the E350 and E550 Coupes in June 2009, followed shortly by their sedan counterparts in July.
