Cox Adds NESNplus and NESNplus HD to Lineup

Customers Can View Bruins-Islanders Coverage in HD Sunday

WEST WARWICK, R.I., April 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Cox Communications announced today the additions of NESNplus and NESNplus HD to its channel lineup this spring.

NESNplus and NESNplus HD are additional channels available to video providers to ensure their customers do not miss a single hit on the baseball diamond or goal on the ice when the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins seasons collide. When the teams' games are on simultaneously or overlap, viewers can catch one game on NESN/NESN HD and the other on the NESNplus/NESNplus HD channels.

"We are thrilled to be the only cable provider in Rhode Island delivering NESNplus HD to our customers this season," said Doreen Studley, vice president of marketing, Cox Communications New England. "We are committed to providing our customers quality and compelling high definition programming at no additional cost. This is just the latest example of how the 'Cox customer experience' is unrivaled in this market."

This season, Cox Sports (Cox ch. 3) will carry the NESNplus standard definition channel, while NESNplus HD can be seen on Cox channel 724. (Cox customers in Connecticut will see Cox NESNplus HD on channel 753). Customers should check NESN.com prior to each game to find the most the updated NESNplus/NESNplus HD information.

On Sunday, April 12, NESN will carry the Red Sox-Angels game on NESN and NESN HD at 3:30 PM with pre-game coverage beginning at 2:30 p.m. The Bruins-Islanders game will be seen on NESNplus and NESNplus HD at 5:00 p.m. Pre-game coverage begins at 4:30 p.m.
