Rising Music Star Caitlin Crosby is Featured in New Radio Heard Here Promotional Campaign
Focus on "New Music" Reinforces Importance of Radio to Music Discovery
NEW YORK, March 17 /PRNewswire/ -- An eclectic group of artists representing a wide-range of musical genres will be featured in a new series of promotional spots highlighting radio as an influential music discovery tool. Debuting at the Radio Advertising Bureau 2009 conference, the "New Music" series, produced by Radio Heard Here, is a collection of interviews featuring new artists expressing their affinity for radio both for its power to connect them with a nationwide audience and their own pleasure at discovering new music on the radio. The first featured artist is singer-songwriter Caitlin Crosby whose first album, Flawz, debuts this spring on Blackledge Music.

Radio boasts 234 million weekly listeners, including broadcast and online listeners. And, according to a 2008 poll by Jupiter Research/Ipsos, as many as 59% percent of online music users identified radio as their leading source for finding new music.
The interviews will air as 30-second and 60-second spots on approximately 500 AM/FM and HD radio stations across the country. In addition, videos of the interviews will be accessible on YouTube, the Radio Heard Here Web site (www.radioheardhere.com) and the Radio Heard Here Facebook page. Upcoming artists' in the series includes singer-songwriter Josh Hoge and soulful rocker Tim Brantley.

"Stations are also making it easier than ever for listeners to buy the new music they love by posting playlists on their Web sites that link directly to iTunes, or through the iTunes tagging feature of HD Radio."

The series is hosted by Andrew Harrison, the host of WNYU's "Plastic Tales from the Marshmallow Dimension" and star of the webisode series "Polyester Dreams."
