Crackle.com Debuts New 13-Week Season Featuring Original Programming - Charlie Murphy's Crash Comedy, Anytime with Bob Kushell, The Jace Hall Show and True Colors
CULVER CITY, Calif., March 17 /PRNewswire/ -- On the heels of the success of standouts "Star-ving," starring David Faustino, and "Angel of Death," starring Zoe Bell and Lucy Lawless, Crackle.com, Sony Pictures Entertainment's online video network, today announced its original online web programming lineup for the new 13-week season that begins on March 17, 2009.
The upcoming season will feature a combination of new shows, including a sketch-comedy series "Charlie Murphy's Crash Comedy" starring "Chappelle Show's" comedian Murphy and a hidden camera series "True Colors," as well as the return of the hit shows "Anytime with Bob Kushell," and "The Jace Hall Show."
New episodes of "Charlie Murphy's Crash Comedy," "True Colors," "Anytime with Bob Kushell," and "The Jace Hall Show," will air on the same day each week over the course of the 13 week season.
Anytime with Bob Kushell
(Tuesdays) Emmy(R)-nominated television writer/producer Bob Kushell hosts the second season of his web talk show, "Anytime with Bob Kushell," which will air beginning March 17. Filmed in a garage in Van Nuys, CA, the series brings everything you expect from a late-night talk show: short monologue, comedy bit, full in-studio band, and of course, celebrity interviews, all in a comically compact five minute package. Guests appearing in the second season include Bryan Cranston, Patrick Warburton, Jon Cryer, Hank Azaria, Jenna Elfman, Alex Trebek, among several others. The web series is executive produced by Bob Kushell and Russell Arch, and is a Killer Custard Production and distributed by Sony Pictures Television.
True Colors
(Wednesdays) "True Colors," premiering March 18, is a hidden camera show that pokes fun at racial stereotypes. Dwayne Smith ("Lonely Girl"), Lisa Bohacek and Circle of Confusion serve as executive producers of the series, which is produced by Sony Pictures Television.
The Jace Hall Show
(Thursdays) Beginning on March 19, the new season of "The Jace Hall Show" will air on Crackle.com. This original short-form lifestyle series created and hosted by film, television and videogame producer Jason "Jace" Hall mixes Hollywood glitz with gamer geekdom. Guests appearing in the second season include Akon, Tom Green, James Gunn, Keke Palmer, among others. "The Jace Hall Show," which is produced by HDFILMS, features exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the hottest game developers as well as rare interviews with actors, musicians and athletes, who discuss their lives and experiences.
Charlie Murphy's Crash Comedy
(Fridays) Following his breakout performance on "Chappelle's Show," Charlie Murphy is launching a new sketch-comedy series, "Charlie Murphy's Crash Comedy," which premieres March 20, that will bring his outrageous and irreverent characters to life in a variety of hilarious sketches, parodies and infomercials. He is best known for his sketches like "Charlie Murphy's True Hollywood Stories" that appeared on Comedy Central's "Chappelle's Show." Charlie Murphy, Richard Murphy and Lance Rivera serve as executive producers. The series is produced by Iron Weed Productions, Inc. and distributed by Sony Pictures Television.
