Controversial Damian Chapa in Pre-Production for Bobby Fischer Biopic Story
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Controversial Producer Director Damian Chapa, who recently released Polanski Unauthorized, will begin filming the life story of Bobby Fischer entitled Bobby Fischer Live, this March. Bobby Fischer is considered to be the greatest chess player of all time. He beat the Russians during the Cold War. The chess match was historical in bringing relations between the USA and Russia to a more calm and cordial state as well as elevating chess to a much more mainstream and "cooler" status.

According to Chapa and Amadeus Pictures, after his win, Bobby Fischer became a recluse as a result of then President George Bush Sr., casting Bobby into exile for the reason of Bobby having a rematch which he won in Yugoslavia while sanctions existed against that country from America.
As a result, Fischer lost all of his rewards and could not return to his home in Brooklyn USA. In seclusion traveling abroad, Bobby developed anger against the USA and its policies and also began to spiral down into psychological torment where he developed a strange rant of terrorist-like hatred towards America and Israel - even becoming anti-semitic even though he himself was Jewish.
Chapa will direct and star in the feature film that spans the entire life of one of the most controversial historic figures in the game of chess, and will be filmed in LA, NYC, Russia and Iceland. Filming begins mid-March 2009.
Polanski Unauthorized will be released in June by Terra Entertainment worldwide on DVD, and is playing at select theaters in Los Angeles, CA.
