AFGE Radio Show to Examine President's Address to Congress, Impact on Federal Employees

Employee Free Choice Act, AFGE's Human Rights Training Conference Also Topics on "Inside Government" Program

WASHINGTON, Feb. 26 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- This week, the American Federation of Government Employees' "Inside Government" radio show will take a look at President Obama's first address to a joint session of Congress and how the Obama administration is faring thus far with federal employees. The show will air on Friday, Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. ET nationwide on Federal News Radio at www.federalnewsradio.com and 1500 AM in the Washington, D.C., area.

Beth Moten, AFGE legislative and political director, will offer insight on the president's speech and a perspective on the Obama administration's initial impact on federal employees. Ross Eisenbrey, vice president of the Economic Policy Institute, will present EPI's argument for the Employee Free Choice Act and how it will improve a failing labor market.

Persons caring for elderly relatives will be particularly interested in hearing from Patricia Grace, CEO of Aging with Grace, who will provide information about the Eldercare Services Program available to AFGE members. Finally, Sherri Bracey, program manager in AFGE's Women's and Fair Practices Department, will discuss AFGE's upcoming Human Rights Training Conference in Las Vegas, Nev. March 23 - 26.
