Andrea Bocelli Warms Hearts This Holiday Season With Incanto
NEW YORK, Dec. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- The beloved superstar Andrea Bocelli continues to capture the hearts of music-lovers this holiday season with his latest Sugar/Decca CD, Incanto. People Magazine recently raved, "these passionately sung songs will surely put a little romanza in the air." Along with critical accolades, a string of memorable appearances this fall have marked another successful chapter in Andrea Bocelli's remarkable career.
Incanto's CD launch began with an unforgettable performance on The Oprah Winfrey Show, where Andrea treated audiences to soaring renditions of "Because" and old favorite "The Prayer." Two additional moving TV performances followed on Good Morning America and CBS Early Show. In late November, Andrea wrapped up two once-in-a-lifetime concerts with the incomparable Placido Domingo at the Washington National Opera, collaborating on the Petite Messe Solennelle, with Mr. Domingo conducting. Prior to the performances, NPR's All Things Considered featured Domingo and Bocelli in an exclusive joint interview to discuss these historical concerts, and the artists' respective impact on classical music. The spotlight continues to shine on Andrea this December, with PBS broadcasting a special documentary entitled, "Andrea Bocelli - A Child Destined To Sing." Capturing Andrea's musical and personal life journey, the film features rare, behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with family members including his mother and brother, along with notable guests Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera, Sarah Brightman, Zucchero, Jose Carreras and the iconic Luciano Pavarotti.
On December 10th, Italian State TV Channel RAI will feature Andrea on their live, prime-time show from Milan, "Che Tempo che fa," where he will perform selections from Incanto for his native country. Famed New York City restaurant Le Cirque will participate by hosting a live, satellite link-up with special guests including Donald Trump, Kerry Kennedy, David Foster and acclaimed pianist Lang Lang, all paying tribute to Andrea.
