Movie Gallery Announces Executive Appointment

WILSONVILLE, Ore., Nov. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Movie Gallery, Inc. ("Movie Gallery") today announced that Cliff Torng has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of the Company. He will be responsible for all aspects of Movie Gallery's corporate marketing operations, including brand marketing, customer intelligence and communications. He will report to C.J. ("Gabe") Gabriel, Jr., the Company's President and Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Torng has more than twenty years of experience in marketing and advertising, specializing in global retail branding and marketing. He most recently served as Director of Marketing for the Jordan brand at Nike, Inc., where he re-launched the brand under a new tagline, "Become Legendary", leveraging the excitement around the 23rd anniversary of the brand. He also drove improved delivery of the Jordan experience through retail, both real and virtual, which resulted in the doubling of the brand's revenue during his three year tenure.

Mr. Torng received his Masters of Business Administration in Marketing and his B.A. from Cornell University.
