NEW YORK, Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Mark Garner, vice president, Distribution & Business Development, A&E Television Networks has been elected to chair the Board of Directors for NAMIC (National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications). Garner succeeds outgoing Board Chair, Alicin Williamson. Williamson, the senior vice president of Corporate Responsibility and Public Affairs for MTV Networks, is concluding a two-year term and will continue her board affiliation as Immediate Past Chair. Garner and other newly elected and re-elected officers begin serving terms as of November 1, 2008.

Business leaders elected to join Garner and Kathy Johnson, president, NAMIC as part of the board's Executive Committee include Mae Douglas, SVP & Chief People Officer, Cox Communications (Vice Chair); Marsha J.
