Circa Pictures to Deal a New Hand to Television by Optioning a Unique Hybrid Poker & Reality Show

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Circa Pictures and Production Co., Intl., Inc. announced today they have signed an exclusive option agreement on the reality television program Lucky 7 Pro.

According to Constantine Papadopoulos, Circa's CEO: "Poker programming has become a successful staple to the small screen, and has many followers. When we first saw the format for Lucky 7 Pro, we realized this program concept 'kicked basic poker programming' up two major notches and sets it apart from all the rest - without losing the basic fan base. Now, poker can also gain appeal among the audiences of reality programming. Lucky 7 Pro will begin as an elimination contest, where we will seek out then find the best seven amateur female players, and then we will syndicate these amateurs into the tournament and professional play circuits all the while keeping the cameras rolling in and out of the casino play. It is the first hybrid 'poker reality' program. We will be going past the camera shots of the table and cards and go into the lives of our new found players as they play as a team and develop into a unit."

The program was created and developed by Kaye Switzer who has a solid track record in television. Among her achievements includes finding and co-creating "Judge Judy," one of the most successful shows in syndicated television history. Switzer will also be Executive Producer of the program.
