CN8, The Comcast Network Earns 7 Emmy Awards for Live Sports, Issues-Oriented and Entertainment Programming
PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- CN8, The Comcast Network received seven prestigious Emmy Awards for its exclusive college sports, human interest and original issues-oriented and entertainment programming. In addition, CN8 earned the highest overall awards for any cable network.

CN8 program hosts honored with Emmys include Lynn Doyle, Art Fennell and Reporter Janet Zappala who accepted two awards.
Exclusive programming recognized includes "CAA Men's Basketball Tournament Coverage" and the network's original, weeknight entertainment program, "Backstage."
CN8 also received an Emmy Award for "Tara's Miracle Story," a special about Tara Stout, a child who filmed her own video diary and lost her battle with cancer in 2007. In her memory, CN8 will present the award to Tara's parents.
The Academy's recognition delivers CN8's 71st Emmy Award since the network's inception in 1996. The awards, sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, were presented Saturday, Sept. 13 in Philadelphia.
