Arthur Kent settles lawsuits over Charlie Wilson's War
TORONTO, Sept. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Journalist Arthur Kent today announced that he has reached a global settlement of the lawsuits Kent brought in the U.S. and Canada in relation to the use of portions of his voice and video recordings in the motion picture Charlie Wilson's War.
Terms of the settlement are confidential.
Kent says: "I am very pleased with the terms of the settlement. I brought these actions only to uphold the copyright protection of my work, my voice, and my archive, and to make clear that I do not endorse the account of historical events conveyed by the movie."
Kent first reported from Afghanistan in 1980, and now chronicles the conflict online at skyreporter.com
