HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Aug. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- A&E IndieFilms is the lead sponsor for the 2008 Third Screen Film Festival; an interactive film experience that allows participants to view and vote for their favorite film submissions via internet or mobile phone. Submissions will be available for viewing on Third Screen Film Festival's website at http://www.thirdscreenfilmfestival.com/.

Participants can find festival film shorts online at the A&E IndieFilms website, http://www.aetv.com/indiefilms, and on A&E's mobile/WAP site, mobile.aetv.com. Viewers will determine their favorite film, a panel of industry insiders will determine their own Jury Prize winner, and the filmmaker with the most Mobile votes will win the Mobile Award.

The Mobile and the Jury Prize winner will have a chance to meet top development executives at A&E IndieFilms, and the Viewer's Choice winner will receive a $5,000 cash prize.

This year's panel of judges includes top programmers, directors and content developers from some of the most recognizable Entertainment companies in the world such as A&E and MTV. A celebration and screening of the winners will take place on October 30th at Cinespace in Hollywood, CA.
