NEW YORK, July 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Continuing its extensive coverage of the 2008 Major League Baseball season, ESPN Deportes, the Spanish-language network with the most extensive coverage of Major League Baseball, will offer exclusive, live radio presentation of the 79th edition of the MLB All-Star Game, as well as exclusive telecasts of the State Farm Home Run Derby and the XM All-Star Futures Game.

ESPN Deportes television, radio and online productions will combine to offer the most complete Spanish-language All-Star coverage, with all events presented live from Yankee Stadium in New York, Sunday, July 13 through Tuesday, July 15.
The television network's All-Star coverage will begin with the 2008 Futures Game Sunday, July 13 at 3 p.m. ESPN Deportes' commentator team will feature Ernesto Jerez (play-by-play), former major leaguer Candy Maldonado and Carolina Guillen (field reporter). Guillen will provide in-game interviews from the World Team dugout.
E. Jerez will put his home run call to great use when MLB's top home run hitters step up to the plate. Jerez will be joined by C. Maldonado on the analysis. Guillermo Celis and Carolina Guillen will be stationed at different positions at Yankee stadium to capture all the action from the field and David Faitelson will be integrated into the telecast with live internet chats at various times within the show and will be located at the left field announce location. Home Run Derby action will begin Monday, July 14 at 7:30 p.m. with a live Beisbol Esta Noche preview hosted by baseball expert Luis Alfredo Alvarez with analysis from former major leaguer Carlos Baerga.
ESPN Deportes Radio MLB All-Star Coverage:
For the fourth consecutive season, ESPN Deportes Radio will offer an exclusive, LIVE national broadcast of the 79th MLB All-Star Game via its 26 affiliates nationwide Tuesday, July 15 at 8 p.m. ET. ESPN Deportes Radio will feature a Hall of Fame broadcast booth highlighted by Hall of Fame pitcher Juan Marichal on the analysis, Dodger's longtime Spanish-language radio voice and Hall of Fame broadcaster Jaime Jarrin (play-by-play) and San Diego Padres announcer Eduardo Ortega (field reporter). In addition to MLB All-Star coverage, ESPN Deportes Radio will produce a special two-hour program, live from the All-Star Gala, featuring commentary, analysis, and interviews Latino players participating in the All-Star Game with wrap around commentary including Home Run Derby updates Monday, July 14 at 8 p.m. ET
