Nickelodeon's The Naked Brothers Band Season Two Premiere Rocks to the Top of Broadcast and Cable with Tweens, Kids 6-11

Sidekicks Episode also Ranks as Series' Highest-Rated Telecast Ever with Tweens; 3.6 Million Total Viewers Tune In

NEW YORK, Jan. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Nickelodeon's "mockumentary" comedy series, The Naked Brothers Band, rocked its second season hour-long premiere on Monday, Jan. 21, at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, ranking as the top-rated show for tweens on all television (broadcast and cable) for the night. The special, titled "Sidekicks," drew an 8.4/1.8 million with tweens 9-14 (up +192% over last year's like time period), marking the series' highest-rated performance ever with that demographic. With Kids 6-11, the premiere also hit it big, averaging a 9.6/2.0 million K6-11 (up +106% over last year), as well as bringing in 3.6 million total viewers/persons 2+ (up +49% versus year ago)*.

"Sidekicks" was also supported online, with a themed Naked Brothers Band online casual New Game of the Week on Nick.com, "Prank You Very Much," which generated 336,000 game plays to date since its Jan. 14 launch. In addition, The Naked Brothers Band message boards were among Nick.com's most visited for the week of Jan. 14. The Karaoke message board received 14,000 visitors alone and The Naked Brothers Band show board received 8,000 visitors in just one week's time. The Naked Brothers Band show page on http://www.nick.com/nbb drew more than 244,000 visitors during the week of Jan. 14**.

In "Sidekicks," the band is performing at the Amigos Middle School's end of school dance, which is the same night as Rosalina's high school dance. The scheduling conflict leads to even bigger issues when Rosalina lands an older date to her dance and Nat gets stuck with the ever snotty Patrice, who is just trying to show Rosalina up.

Inspired by the Wolff siblings' real-life, preschool-born band, The Naked Brothers Band follows a world-famous rock group, chronicling their fame, friendship, temporary break-up and adolescent experiences. The cameras track the charismatic, rock stars - led by dreamy, sensitive singer-songwriter Nat, 13, and energetic, unabashedly adorable drummer Alex, 10 -- on and off stage, focusing, too, on their celebrity lifestyle with all of its perks and problems. Featured as well are the Wolff boys' real-life friends and band mates from pre-school days: cellist Thomas (Thomas Batuello) and keyboard player David (David Levi), along with guitarist Qaasim (Qaasim Middleton) and bassist -- Nat's crush -- Rosalina (Allie DiMeco). Cooper (Cooper Pillot), the band's pint-sized manager, completes the tween troop, and Jesse (Jesse Draper) is Nat and Alex's ditzy tutor/babysitter and real-life cousin.

The series launched internationally in spring 2007 on Nickelodeon UK and continues to roll out across Nick's 31 channels world-wide, concluding with Nick Holland in February 2008. The Naked Brothers Band has been nominated for two 2007 Nickelodeon Australia Kids' Choice Awards, a 2007 Nickelodeon UK Kids' Choice Award, and the movie received a nomination for a 2007 Teen Choice Award. Additionally, Nat Wolff, Alex Wolff, and Michael Wolff are all recipients of the BMI 2007 Cable Award.
