Aflac Donates $100,000 to United Way Von Maur Victims Fund
Contribution to Benefit Victims of Omaha Mall Shootings
COLUMBUS, Ga., Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Aflac announced today that the company will contribute $100,000 to the United Way of the Midlands Von Maur Victims Fund. The fund was established to assist the victims of the shootings at the Westroads Mall in Omaha on December 5, 2007.
"Our hearts go out to everyone who has been touched by this tragic shooting," said Dan Amos, Aflac chairman and chief executive officer. "We are committed to Omaha and want to do our part to help this community that has supported our business over the years."

The United Way of the Midlands is assisting with the pledging. Gifts of cash and checks can be dropped off at either location of the First Westroads Bank: 612 N. 98th Street (southeast corner of the Westroads Mall parking lot), or 15750 West Dodge Road.
