Military and Veteran Country Stars/Rock Stars Needed for New Albums

Military and Veteran Country Stars/Rock Stars Needed for New Albums

Uncensored, unfiltered compilation CDs provide American public with a unique perspective on life in the military during wartime

NEWPORT, R.I., Aug. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- To The Fallen Records Presents: Country Volume I and To The Fallen Records Presents: Rock Volume I will feature original, uncensored country and rock music performed and recorded by members and veterans of the U.S. military. The label does not impose any restrictions on the music, and keeps the art pure by using the original recordings. The co-founders, Sean Gilfillan and Sidney DeMello, believe that the best way for military artists to gain recognition is as a collective group on a compilation CD.

The music will be chosen by the 1st of October. To submit a song, an artist must go to the website and follow the directions. The website is www.ToTheFallenRecords.com

Military-only record label, To The Fallen Records, started by disabled war veteran Gilfillan and his business partner DeMello, debuted their first CD, To The Fallen: Volume I, a hip hop album, in May, to critical acclaim and an overwhelmingly positive response from both the military and civilian communities. They hope to continue to tell the stories of active duty and veteran country and rock artists by releasing two more CDs, both on Veterans Day.

"Veterans Day is a day in which we honor those who have chosen to do what others haven't," says DeMello. "The artists featured on our compilation CDs represent all segments of the military and our society as a whole. The country has an obligation to listen to what they have to say."

"There is so much talent inside the military community that is not being noticed by the rest of the country. I feel that it is our job to get these voices out to the American people," says Gilfillan. "The country needs to pay attention."

"You don't have to be for the war or against the war to support these soldiers. This is about the music, not politics," says DeMello. "This is merely an opportunity for the American public to hear from the men and women of the military directly on a number of topics."
