LOS ANGELES, July 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Toronto-based singer-songwriter Justin Hines' debut album Sides is set for release August 21 on Orange Lounge/Universal. Right now, the single "Wish You Well" is building major advance buzz for the disc with adds at Canada's three top Adult Contemporary FM radio outlets including the country's #1 station, CHFI-FM (98.1) in Toronto. CHFI was also the first to add the track, which has been at #1 on their playlist and is currently in the #2 position. Justin recently visited the station and performed "Wish You Well" -- an ethereal and insightful reverie on life, friendship and the journey we all share -- live in CHFI's on-air studio during the morning show. He also played his striking version of Jim Croce's "I've Got A Name," Sides' only cover song.

Since being reported at CHFI, "Wish You Well" has also been added at Canada's #2 station, CHYM-FM (96.7) in Kitchener, where it's now #1, and at Vancouver's CKCL-FM (104.9), the #3 FM nationwide. In addition, the song is in the Top 20 on Sirius Satellite Radio's popular Iceberg Channel 95, "Adult Alternative Music Featuring 100% Canadian Artists." Hines is currently shooting a video for "Wish You Well" to be released later this summer.

As part of the upcoming launch of Sides, Justin Hines will also be the featured artist for one month -- beginning August 7 -- on Canada's Microsoft portal http://sympatico.msn.ca/ and leading independent music site http://www.indiscover.net/. In addition to songs from the album -- including "Wish You Well" and the first single "April On The Ground" -- a one hour podcast of the documentary Like Each Day Was Your Last will be available for streaming. Captured on Hines' adventurous trip to Dubai last year, the film features performances and insight into Justin's own story.

Recently, Justin cut the ceremonial ribbon at the start of the 2007 Wal-Mart Walk For Miracles event that took off from Toronto's Coronation Park. The walk, which included approximately 20,000 participants, is an annual fundraiser for the Children's Miracle Network, supporting children's hospitals throughout Canada. "Wish You Well" was the featured music in a :30 TV spot produced to promote the event. Hines will continue to support the Children's Miracle Network and is performing at Wal-Mart's annual convention in Canada this September.

A lifelong Toronto native, Justin Hines has been making music since childhood. Echoes of his many influences, including James Taylor, Willie Nelson, Jim Croce and Harry Chapin, can be heard in Justin's distinctive sound, which also draws comparisons to contemporaries such as Damien Rice and John Mayer. The all-acoustic instrumentation of his debut album Sides offers an elegantly spare backdrop for his warm melodies, intelligent and confessional lyrics and understated, deeply soulful vocals. There is a emotional resonance and confidence to Hines' music that makes it somehow instantly familiar, yet it is also clearly the fresh, compelling work of an extraordinary new artist. Sides will be released in Canada on August 21 on Orange Lounge/Universal.
