Who's After the King of all Domain Names?

Who's After the King of all Domain Names?

LONDON, July 19/PRNewswire/ -- As the 30th anniversary of the death of Elvis approaches, the domain name
Elvis.co.uk has been receiving a great deal of interest and several global
players have expressed interest in acquiring it.

"Almost 50 years ago, Elvis released the album 50 Million Elvis Fans
Can't Be Wrong, but I cannot imagine what that figure could equate to now.
Thirty years after his death, interest in Elvis is growing at a phenomenal
rate" say's Julie Mundy, the site manager, who is fielding offers from a
range of bidders including collectors, fans, record companies - but she
refuses to disclose whether a certain Memphis-related organisation is amongst
them.

Although the site has the highest traffic of Elvis fans across Europe,
growing by a massive 250-fold in just 12 months, some of the interest in
acquiring it is from opportunists wanting to exploit a domain name of the
world's most famous person.

"It's a memorable name and one you can't forget so it makes advertising
simple" say's David Landsberg, Julies business partner. "One thing's for
sure" he continues "it will probably never become available again, so we're
holding out for another couple of weeks to make sure the best suitor is
found."

Interested parties should mail david@elvis.co.uk post haste!
