Sirius CEO Mel Karmazin to Address National Press Club
WASHINGTON, July 9 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Mel Karmazin, CEO of Sirius Satellite Radio, will discuss his company's proposed merger with XM Satellite Radio. Karmazin would become CEO of the combined company if the merger is successful. The merger faces significant hurdles. There are concerns that it would be anti-competitive and broadcasters and some consumer groups are lining up against it.
The National Press Club luncheon will begin promptly at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, July 23. Mr. Karmazin's remarks will begin just after 1:00 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session. Advance reservations should be made by telephoning (202) 662-7501.
