NCircle Entertainment Inks DVD and Digital Download Agreement With Word World, LLC

NCircle Spells Out Word World's Exciting Future in the North American Home Entertainment Market

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla., July 12 /PRNewswire/ -- NCircle Entertainment today announced a multi-year North American content distribution deal with Word World, LLC. Per the terms of the agreement, NCircle has obtained rights to become the exclusive home entertainment distributor for the 3D CGI animated children's series "Word World," which will begin airing both on PBS KIDS(R) and on TVO (Canada) starting September 3rd.

"The agreement with Word World, LLC is another leap forward as we expand our position in the children's home entertainment industry through content that presents itself in a unique, educational and interactive way," stated Debbie Ries, Senior Vice President and General Manager. "By attaching meaning to words through images, 'Word World' helps children discover fundamental word structure in a highly visual and spontaneous way. In this series, words come alive, words save the day, and words become a child's best friend, all in breathtaking 3D animation."

Word World is partially funded by the U.S. Department of Education as part of the Ready To Learn Partnership literacy initiative. Targeting kids ages three to five, the series is intended to increase preschoolers' literacy skills. Each "Word World" episode is a fun narrative built on an ensemble cast known as WordFriends(TM), who are characters first and words second - making words the stars of the show. Kids watch as Frog, Sheep, Pig, Duck and Dog go on comic adventures, facing challenges that can only be resolved by building the correct word.

A key component of "Word World" is word building, a unique moment when children witness a word morph into the character it is. Word building reinforces the pre-reading concept that letters make words, and that words have real meaning and power. Learning to form words has never been this fun.

"Consumer anticipation for 'Word World' is strong. Coupling our broadcast launches of the series on PBS KIDS and TVO with the distribution strength of the new NCircle partnership will provide the series with a strong platform to catapult it towards success in the U.S. and Canadian markets," said Maggie Trujillo, Senior VP, Consumer Products, Word World, LLC. "NCircle's vast reach into such a wide variety of retail channels will be a great addition to our overall strategy to deliver this dynamic series to children through multiple avenues."
