Hot Multicultural Music Acts and KCRW's 'Morning Becomes Eclectic'

NEW YORK, July 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Elias Arts Holdings LLC, http://www.eliasarts.com/, the world's most awarded commercial music company, and Avenida Acceso http://www.avenidaacceso.com/, Elias' Latino Music Company announced today that two of its key talents, Andres Levin, Creative Director at Avenida Acceso and Nic Harcourt, Head of Music Supervision, will be featured speakers at the Latin Alternative Music Conference being held at the Roosevelt Hotel through July 14th. In conjunction with their appearances, Elias Arts and Avenida Acceso will host two, special LIVE broadcasts of Morning Becomes Eclectic on July 12th and 13th from 12:00 Noon - 3:00 PM EDT from their studios in New York City, specifically showcasing two new up and coming Latino stars. These shows will be available simultaneously on the air at 89.9FM, or over the internet and as a podcast at http://www.kcrw.com/.

Regarded as major voices in Latino and multicultural music, both Andres Levin and Nic Harcourt will participate in panel discussions at the LAMC. On July 12th from 3:30 -5:30 Harcourt, tastemaker extraordinaire best known as KCRW's music director and host of their influential Morning Becomes Eclectic who serves as Elias Arts' Head of Music Supervision, will speak during the forum entitled "Selecting the Music: How Programmers, Marketers and Music Supervisors Make Their Decisions." While in New York, Harcourt will also host his "Morning Becomes Eclectic" show live from Elias Arts/Avenida Acceso's studios.

During the broadcast on July 12th he will introduce Barcelona based Pecker, a rising star of the burgeoning Catalan alternative music scene. On July 13th during his 12:00 Noon - 3:00 PM EDT show he will welcome Ceci Bastida, one of the first women to rise in the ranks of Latin rock after joining ska-punk band Tijuana NO at age 15. Harcourt comments "The Latin Alternative music scene is set to explode. The opportunity to share this music with people through Morning Becomes Eclectic on KCRW, and my work with Elias Arts will no doubt expose these artists to an even wider audience."

Raul Campos, host of KCRW's Nocturna, an engaging blend of down-tempo, urban-soul and Latin rhythms will also broadcast from Elias/Avenida's studios. His show airs live from 7:00 - 10:00 PM EDT online at kcrw.com.

Andres Levin, the multi talented performer, composer, producer who heads Latin Fusion band Yerba Buena, and serves as Creative Director and Lead Composer for Avenida Acceso, will join a host of Latin Music luminaries in a discussion entitled "Class of '97 Reunion: A Look Back at the Last Ten Years In Latin Alternative Music. 07." The panel will gather on July 13 from 12:45-2:15 PM.
