WESTFORD, Mass., July 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Captivate Network, the digital at-work news and entertainment network reaching business professionals and working consumers, today announced the launch of several products under a new network called The Captivate Suburban Network(TM) and a new product within its current Captivate Office Tower Network(TM). The Office Tower Network includes the core elevator product and premiere service the company is known for, along with a newly enhanced model that was based on customer feedback and industry insight from the company's 10 years experience. Rather than a one-size offering, Captivate has added to its already diverse array of screens that were designed to meet the various needs of property management. This product line will be prominently installed in North American office towers in the major downtown core of the top 20 DMA's in the US and the Top 4 DMA's in Canada. The new Suburban Network brings Captivate out of high rise towers and into suburban office buildings outside of major cities where Captivate is already prevalent. The new products provide more options to real estate property owners; attracts more eyeballs while offering targeting opportunities to advertisers; and serves as a valued information source to viewers.
The new product suite consists of the following:
-- Office Tower Network: The standard elevator model remains a staple of
the Captivate product line with a newly enhanced version ideal for new
building construction or elevator cab upgrades. The standard elevator
model comes in 10", 12" and 15" size displays, while the newly enhanced
elevator model comes in 12" or 15" displays
-- This new elevator product is a multi-media platform that includes
the classic Captivate screen with added features, such as the
display of floor numbers, elevator direction and the building name,
plus a tenant name feature that provides branding value for building
owners and their tenants. Now, Captivate is an even more engaging
product for advertisers allowing viewers to look at the Captivate
screen for all the building information they need
-- Suburban Office Network: The products under the new Suburban Network
will include a pedestal display available in a 40" size and wall mount
screens available in 26" and 40" displays. This new product line was
created by Captivate to specifically address the needs of the office
building owner in suburban locations
All of the products within new Suburban Network and Office Tower Network will continue to provide viewers with Captivate's valuable and trusted network of programming. Captivate delivers national and local news, stock updates, weather reports, sports scores and entertainment updates from leading providers including USA TODAY, Canadian Press, Associated Press, The Washington Post, WIRED, CNN, CNNMoney, Forbes and Citysearch, among others.
Broader Reach for Major Advertisers and Real Estate partners
Currently, Captivate reaches more than 2.3 million viewers each day across North America and is a leader in the burgeoning digital advertising sector. Advertising partners can expand their messages and engage consumers even further through an increased network of screens and an enhancement to its core product. Captivate has a recall rate of 37 percent, and the medium plays an integral part in the marketing mix of today's savviest advertisers.
"This expansion is a natural progression for Captivate, as the media fragmentation problem continues to worsen," said Mike DiFranza, founder and general manager of Captivate Network. This move keeps Captivate in the elevator and also provides opportunities in other areas, such as the suburban office buildings, that reach the mobile working consumer."
Some Captivate advertisers across North America include Lexus, Samsung, Mazda, American Airlines, Amtrak, Infiniti, AT&T, Avis, Lenovo, Blackberry, Toyota, BMW, Expedia, Travelocity, FedEx, Johnston & Johnston, Discovery Channel, Verizon, Audi, Amtrak and Canon. Captivate is seen in Atlanta, Boston, Calgary, Chicago, Columbia, Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, Hartford, Houston, Los Angeles, Memphis, Miami, Minneapolis, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Francisco/San Jose, Seattle, Toronto, Vancouver and Washington, DC.
For real estate partners, Captivate provides a competitive advantage by helping them to attract and retain quality tenants. The network is designed to seamlessly integrate into a building portfolio in order to streamline tenant interaction. And, now real estate owners with suburban properties can leverage Captivate's trusted service the same way they have done with the core elevator product.
In a recent study, Captivate found that:
-- 97 percent of building tenants watch Captivate Network when they enter
an elevator
-- Nearly half of all tenants view Captivate as their primary news source
-- 96 percent said they would choose Captivate over other services
-- 91 percent think Captivate has more interesting/engaging news and
information than other lobby display networks
-- 75 percent think Captivate has more timely/relevant news and
information than other lobby display networks
-- 97 percent think Captivate has more interesting/engaging ads than other
lobby display networks
"The commercial real estate industry has become increasingly competitive," continued DiFranza. "Within the suburban market, building managers continue to seek ways to provide value-added amenities and customized property solutions to tenants in a competitive real estate market. The new Suburban Network product is specifically designed to enhance the tenant and visitor experience, as well as help to make the building a Class A property in the market."
