Optimum Lightpath's 'Metro Ethernet Now' Video-on-Demand Channel Wins Silver 2007 Mark Award

Optimum channel iO 660 Recognized as Best-in-Class by Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing

JERICHO, N.Y., July 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Optimum Lightpath, the next-generation business broadband service provider of Cablevision Systems Corporation, today announced that it has received the Silver Mark Award from the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) for its innovative "Metro Ethernet Now" interactive, video-on-demand (VOD) television channel, Optimum channel iO 660. Channel 660 contains more than 80 minutes of custom-produced programming which can be easily accessed by any of the 2.5 million iO digital cable customers in the New York metropolitan area.

The Mark Awards competition recognizes outstanding achievement and excellence in marketing from networks, cable companies and suppliers. Now celebrating its 24th year, a Mark Award (short for "Marketing") represents the peak of marketing accomplishment in the cable business. Award recipients are known throughout the cable and entertainment world as "best in class."

"Our cutting-edge VOD channel, iO 660 successfully conveys the many benefits of Metro Ethernet - providing a wealth of relevant information which business executives can view at their leisure," said Dave Pistacchio, executive vice president and general manager, Optimum Lightpath. "We are honored to be recognized by CTAM with this award. As a leader in Metro Ethernet, it was particularly important that we develop an interactive platform for generating awareness and connecting with our target audience. Receiving this year's Silver Mark Award further validates our belief that we have successfully developed an innovative vehicle for accomplishing these goals."

Optimum Lightpath's VOD Program, "Metro Ethernet Now" is targeted to business decision makers. After viewing part or all of the channel content, corporate decision makers have a much deeper understanding of how and why Metro Ethernet delivers higher productivity at significantly lower capital and operating costs. Since its launch in early 2007, the VOD channel has received more than 356,000 total visits and more than 229,000 total unique visitors.

Nearly 1000 entries are judged annually. Approximately 150 Gold and Silver winners are selected by more than 100 elite marketers during a rigorous judging process. The winners are honored at the Presentation of Awards Event at the annual CTAM Summit.
