Black Music America Announces Sponsorship of 20th Anniversary Long Beach Jazz Festival

LOS ANGELES, July 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Black Music America Digital Channel (BMA Digital) today announced its sponsorship of the 20th Anniversary Long Beach Jazz Festival scheduled for August 10-12, 2007 in Long Beach, California. Produced annually by Rainbow Promotions, the three-day festival will feature an impressive list of jazz greats such as Gerald Albright, Rick Braun, Jonathan Butler, Diane Schuur and many more. BMA Digital is a co-presenting sponsor of the Long Beach Jazz Festival Pavilion. Featuring vendor booths, a food court and other attractions, the Pavilion will be highlighted by a second performance stage.

Charter Communications is the first cable system to launch BMA Digital (channel 946) in the Los Angeles area. "We are excited about the formation of the partnership with Rainbow Promotions in support of the Long Beach Jazz Festival," said Pete Rhodes, co-founder and CEO, BMA Digital. As part of its sponsorship, BMA Digital will host live performances from the Pavilion stage headlined by Minneapolis based jazz ensemble Joto. Featuring members of the hit-making R&B group Mint Condition, Joto is scheduled for multiple performances on Saturday, August 11, 2007. Additionally, special ticket giveaways and co-branded promotional opportunities will be facilitated exclusively for Charter Long Beach subscribers.
