Abigail Breslin Cooks it Up at The Palm -- 'No Reservations' Co-Star Helps Create Legendary Restaurant's First-Ever Summer Kids Menu
Oscar Nominee Breslin Teams with Tony Tammero, Corporate Executive Chef at The Palm to Create New Kids Menu; Breslin Receives Caricature on the Famed Wall of The Palm
WASHINGTON, July 17 /PRNewswire/ -- The Palm Restaurant (www.thepalm.com), the Nation's Classic American Steak House, and Warner Bros. Pictures today announced that "No Reservations" co-star Abigail Breslin - recently nominated for an Oscar for her performance in "Little Miss Sunshine" - has teamed with Tony Tammero, Corporate Executive Chef at The Palm to create the first-ever children's menu. Beginning on July 24, 2007, The Palm Summer Kids Menu will be available for a limited time at participating locations.
The Palm also announced that it will add Breslin's caricature to the wall at its restaurant on the West Side of Manhattan. Breslin is one of a handful of children to receive a caricature on the legendary walls of The Palm, which features the caricatures of "A-List" celebrities, political leaders, business icons, socialites and the restaurant's most loyal guests.
"It was so much fun working with the chefs at The Palm to create a menu just for kids," said Breslin. "It's exciting to go 'behind the scenes' into the kitchen and to have my caricature placed on the famous walls at The Palm."
"No Reservations" tells the story of a master chef at an upscale Manhattan eatery (Catherine Zeta-Jones) who finds her perfectionist nature tested by a brash new sous-chef sparking rivalry and romance in the kitchen (Aaron Eckhart), and by the young niece (Abigail Breslin) who has unexpectedly come to live with her. "No Reservations" opens in theatres nationwide on Friday, July 27, 2007. The film is MPAA Rated PG for some sensuality and language.
"It was an absolute pleasure to work with Abigail, who is a tremendous young talent -- both on screen and in the kitchen!," added Chef Tammero. "Our youngest guests are sure to enjoy these special kid versions of our popular Palm Summer Menu, which are already kid-tested and kid-approved."
The Palm Summer Kids Menu is a complete meal for children 14 or younger and will feature child-sized menu items selected by Abigail and the executive chefs at The Palm. Each dinner ordered from The Palm Summer Kids menu will include:
-- Entree (choice of one)
* Grilled Filet Tenders (Grilled Filet Mignon Medallions)
* Baked Macaroni & Cheese
* Kid's Fish of the Day
-- Fries (choice of one)
* Sweet Potato Fries
* Palm Steak Fries
-- Vegetable (choice of one)
* Summer Veggies
* Steamed Asparagus
-- Dessert (choice of one)
* Palm Summer Apple Cobbler a' la Mode

The Palm Summer Kids Menu will also feature a child-friendly version of The Palm Strawberry Mint Lemonade Cocktail.
The Palm Summer Kids Menu is the perfect compliment to the all new Palm Summer Menu -- featuring complete dinners for two and a delectable new array of appetizers, salads, sides, desserts, and wines and specialty cocktails, inspired by the warm days and cool nights of summer.
Castle Rock Entertainment presents, in association with Village Roadshow Pictures, a Scott Hicks Film: "No Reservations," starring Catherine Zeta- Jones, Aaron Eckhart, Abigail Breslin and Patricia Clarkson.
