Young Henry VIII
A new permanent exhibition, Young Henry VIII, opening on 28 June 2007 at Hampton Court Palace, his most famous residence, is set to challenge the stereotypical image of the older Henry the war-mongering, fat, serial husband who broke ties with Rome and founded his own Church. It will use modern technology and historic paintings to explore how three of the most powerful and charismatic people in Europe -- Katherine of Aragon, Cardinal Wolsey and Henry himself -- dominated the first twenty years of Henry's reign and shaped the rest.
Diana: a Princess remembered
On 30 June 2007 a new exhibition celebrating the life of Diana, Princess of Wales will open at her former home, Kensington Palace. Marking Diana's life as princess, mother, fashion icon and humanitarian, the exhibition features over 200 photographs, alongside memorable film footage of one of the world's most famous and admired women. Interviews with exhibition contributors who knew and worked with the Princess, including photographers, fashion designers and representatives from the charities she supported, will be available to download.
