TRANSFORMERS, the latest feature from acclaimed director Michael Bay ("The Island," "Bad Boys 2," "Pearl Harbor"), follows the battle between two races of aliens, Autobots and Decepticons on planet Earth. The North American premiere will take place during the 2007 Los Angeles Film Festival on June 27, 2007 before a crowd of nearly 4,000 viewers across four theaters in Westwood.
DLP Cinema(R) projectors have been showing movies in theatres since 1999, helping to drive the advancement of digital cinema. As of June 2007, the DLP Cinema screen count reached 4,600 worldwide, with tens of thousands of additional theatres announced to convert in the next few years.
