Leading Independent Record Label and Mobile Communications World Leader Enter Into New Marketing Agreement

NEW YORK, May 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Wind-up Records, the leading independent record label in The United States, has announced a new marketing relationship to include content placement within the Nokia Featured Artist Program. The Featured Artist Program showcases artists and brings exclusive music and videos to Nokia flagship stores worldwide and Nokia experience centers, theaters and websites in the United States, introducing consumers to new music and mobile entertainment products and giving hands-on experience through the latest music and exclusive content.

Wind-up and Nokia launched the Featured Artist Program in 2006 with STEFY, Pilot Speed and People In Planes. Nokia is currently showcasing Wind-up Recording artist Stars of Track & Field, offering exclusive digital downloads, music videos, ringtones and wallpaper to their customers. In June, 2007, hit makers Finger Eleven will be showcased in the program. Currently riding the North American smash "Paralyzer," the quintet plans to actively participate in this initiative.

"The mobile phone has become an increasingly powerful entertainment device," said Ed Vetri, president of Wind-up Records. "Offering a rich and diverse selection of content to Nokia allows consumers to discover, enjoy and connect with music in a whole new way. Through this joint marketing effort with Nokia our artists stand to benefit from a unique platform connecting them to a new audience."

"In crafting this arrangement with Nokia, Wind-Up Records, in concert with its affiliated publishing companies, has aligned itself with one of the foremost and most forward thinking players in the mobile space and, in so doing, is able to provide its artists and songwriters with the opportunity to be marketed via Nokia's vast retail network," said Jim Cooperman, COO and executive vice president of business & legal affairs for Wind-up Entertainment.

"Wind-up as an independent label has the ability to be nimble, act quickly and pursue unique marketing and content opportunities to meet consumer demand as well as open up new channels for artists to reach their fans," added Vetri. "This relationship with Nokia as well as the recently announcement relationship with YouTube underscores our commitment to marketing innovation."
