Opus One and WJR Host Wine and Gourmet Food Tasting to Benefit 10 Local Charities

DETROIT, May 24 /PRNewswire/ -- As a toast to the success of the Cuisine for a Cause program, Opus One and News/Talk 760 WJR will host a special wine and food tasting event at the Ford Conference and Events Center in Dearborn on June 7 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. A fundraiser for 10 local charities, the Cuisine for a Cause Celebratory Reception will feature a wine tasting, gourmet food and a live auction.

Guests will be treated to an eight-station gourmet strolling supper prepared exclusively for the event by Opus One. Attendees can also sample more than 60 wines specifically chosen to complement the sumptuous food selections. A live auction, hosted by News/Talk 760 WJR's Frank Beckmann, features 11 exciting items and opportunities such as:

-- A "Fantasy Fleet" package featuring the use of five luxury automobiles.
-- A VIP Ford Racing package that includes autographed merchandise, a
signed helmet and tickets to an upcoming race.
-- A VIP "Summer on the Water" Detroit-area private boating package.
-- A sports-lover's fantasy that includes a tour of the Michigan State
University press box, an introduction to George Blaha and Dan Miller
and tickets to an MSU home game.

Presented by Opus One and News/Talk 760 WJR, "Cuisine for a Cause" was a charitable dining program benefiting 10 local non-profit organizations. The "Cuisine for a Cause Celebratory Wine Tasting Reception" is the conclusion to this program, which succeeded in raising $47,000 for the charities.

The Cuisine for a Cause Celebratory Reception wine tasting and strolling supper begins at 5:30 p.m., with the live auction starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the event are available to adults 21 and over for $100 per person. $50 of each ticket purchased is tax deductible. Business casual attire is suggested.
