Alliance Atlantis announces court date to seek relief from annual general meeting requirement

TORONTO, May 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Alliance Atlantis Communications Inc. today announced that its application to the Ontario Superior Court of Justice to seek relief from the requirement to hold its annual general meeting of shareholders by the end of June 2007 is scheduled to be heard at 10:00 a.m. on May 28, 2007. Alliance Atlantis had previously announced its intention to seek such relief in its news release of March 28, 2007 so as not to hold the meeting prior to completion of the Arrangement transaction which it expects to occur in July or early August 2007.
